Orissa Balu sir is a very simple person, from a non political, non Tamil academic background. He strives hard to establish a truth that the Tamils are more ancient then actually accepted by the scientific community. The tides against which he is swimming at this (15102013) day are many fold.
(1) Against the fixed mindset of the Tamils themselves who are mentally primed by hundreds of years of oppression and cannot accept any sort of greatness in themselves.
(2) Against the Tamils who have sold their integrity for a profitable deal to the western thought process and feel content and busy in questioning the credibility of Balus works.
(3) Against a strong set of Tamils who are in the internet world with a heart deeply patriotic to their Sanskrit roots who struggle to balance between the views of Balu and the views of the usual researchers.
(4) Balu has garnered a huge group of followers in the Face book and in various educational institutions across Tamilnadu by his works and tireless travel schedules; this forces his contemporary intellectuals in various circles to start to listen to him.
(5) By now it is getting to be established that people like Balu who consider themselves as simple people and reach the common man in open forums with truth in their hands can still win against all odds.
