Greetings to you from the Institute of Asian Studies, Chennai
I am glad to inform you that the Institute of Asian Studies is organizing in Chennai an International Symposium on Bodhidharma, the Tamil Buddhist monk of the 6th century A.D, who went to China and founded the Chan/Zen Buddhism. This Symposium will be organized with the participation of the Institute of Seon, South Korea, World Association of Bodhidharma, Japan, the Shaolin Temple, China, the International Association of Tamil Diaspora, Mauritius and few other centres of Bodhidharma studies in other parts of Asia and Europe. The Symposium will be held at the premises of the Institute of Asian studies on 13th and 14th of August 2015.
It is my great pleasure to invite you to this unique international event. You can participate either as a paper presenter or an observer. The enclosed flyer will explain in brief the scope and objectives of this International programme.
If you are presenting a paper, you may kindly submit the abstract of your paper in one page on or before 30th April 2015. The full paper should be submitted on or before 15th July 2015.
