Here is a short story we would like to share with you –

A young boy and his grandfather were walking down the beach. There was a storm the day before, and hundreds of sand dollars had washed up on the shore and were starting to die under the sun.

As they walked, the grandfather would stop from time to time, reach down, pick up a sand dollar and throw it into the ocean. Finally, the little boy asked, “Grandfather, why are you throwing them back in?” and his grandfather replied, “So that they will live.”

The little boy thought for a moment and said, “But grandfather, there are so many of them! What possible difference can it make?” The grandfather, reaching down and tossing another back into the ocean replied, “To that one, it will make all the difference in the world.”

Ramadan is here, and we are eating well. There are thousands of Muslims in our city who don’t have enough to have a decent Suhur & Iftar to fast, and they worry about it. Allah (SWT) has kept you in a position where you can reach out to them and help them have a better Ramadan, and ensure their focus is more on Ibadah this month.

The important question is, will you help? Every provision kit sponsored at Rs. 1500 ensures a family of a minimum of four members do not starve this Ramadan. It provides them with the basic supplies to get through a month, in sha’ Allah. There are thousands to feed, and sponsoring one family may seem small – but to that one family that you sponsor, it makes all the difference in the world.
